You don’t need to be orange or risk cancer to look tan….

I don’t spend a lot of time in the sun…but I hate the fact that my legs are SO much whiter than my arms and face, so I decided to give this product a try and I’m glad I did. It’s a lot cheaper than getting a spray tan and if done right, it’s not orange or patchy at all.  The secret is really to make sure you buff your legs with a loufa or a shower poof between uses!!

Order yours here.

I make sure to shave and buff my legs really well, and that they are fully dry before I apply. I use it sparingly around my knees and ankles which is the places where it would tend to turn orange…but it is giving me a nice tan looking glow. My Mom even made the comment my legs were getting tan the other day…well, this is why. I’m not way fair skinned so I used the medium to dark and put it on after every time I shower and it still has a natural look to it (Plus is has a very light shimmer, which looks nice in the sun too). I just make sure to apply it in circles and not put on anything until my legs are fully dry. I haven’t tried the facial stuff, because I don’t seem to need it like I do on my legs, but I’m totally impressed with this product!!! They’ve come a long way from the stuff that turns you orange!!!

I’m just happy I’ve gotten my legs to the same color as my arms so I can wear shorts without looking like a ghost with dark arms and face!

I have to assume since the body lotion is so good the face is probably just as good. If you give it a try let me know what you think!!!!

6 Reasons Why I Like Dogs More Than Most People.

My whole life I’ve been an out-going person. I can hold a conversation with a complete stranger about pretty much anything, but I have a real issue with trusting people because of past experiences. While I’m out-going, I still find myself navigating towards a person’s dogs before I engage the person in conversation…I just like dogs better. Here’s 6 reasons why.

  1. They’re Faithful. I’ve never been cheated on by a dog. Sure, sometimes I think my dog likes my daughter more than me, but he always chooses me over more attractive women., even when they give him a dog treat. Dogs are pack animals ad they see you as their pack, they will do anything and everything to care for their pack.
  2. They’re Sympathetic. I know people can be sympathetic too, but dogs have this sense when their person is hurting and they always want to try to make you feel better. When My husband was deployed if I cried, Bosco would climb up into my lap, lay his head on my leg and look up at me as if to say, “I’m sorry Mom, I wish I could make it better.” I don’t think he realized that he did, just by being there with me. Petting and loving on a dog does help, it’s calming and scientifically speaking, they do help a persons state of mind.
  3. They’re Always happy to see you. My husband posted a funny meme and it still makes me laugh. it read, “Lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of a car and see which one is happy to see you when you let them out.” Personally I’d kill him, but the dog would be happy to see him. It doesn’t matter if you’re gone 3 minutes or 3 hours they are always happy to see you. People on the other hand might not always appreciate your presence.
  4. They just want to make you happy. Dogs will do everything in their power to try and please you. If they’ve done something wrong they feel remorse and shame. If they aren’t quite getting their training right, they will come to you for some sort of reassurance that you still love them. When Tika chews on my hair ties and I scold her, she always puts her ears back, comes close and looks at me with the most apologetic eyes (how can I stay mad a that? I give her scratches, tell her I love her but to knock that shit off). Most people don’t care, hell they aren’t even willing to admit that they’ve done something wrong, let alone ask for your forgiveness. Dogs do NOT like it when you’re unhappy with them.
  5. They don’t judge. Okay, they do…but not in the same way people judge. Dogs have a sense of whether a person is good or bad. I was raised that if my dog didn’t like someone, there was something serious enough to not like about them. 100% of the time, my dog was dead on in their judgment…but as far as whether a person is overweight, too skinny, has a mole the size of Texas on their face…they could care less.
  6. They don’t argue. I have full on conversations with my dogs and not ONCE have they argued with me, but they definitely listen. Bosco will cock his head from side to side hanging on every word I say. Tika may make a few statements, but mostly only when I ask her if she’s hungry. Some people I’ve met, that’s all they like to do is argue, as in they live for a good argument.

Dogs truly are mans best friend…There when you need them, great companions, fun to play with and great cuddlers. I don’t mind cats, but they are far too independent for me and I’ve never had one that had all the qualities that a dog does, so I’m a dog person all the way.

Are you a dog or cat person? Tell us why in the comments!

Why I love the 4th of July and why red, white and blue are my go to clothing colors.

On July 4th 1776 the 13 colonies claimed their Independence from England which eventually led to the formation of the United States of America. God Bless America!

Betsy Ross showing George Washington the first American flag.

What it means to be independent.

Independence is such a powerful word, by definition it means: Not subject to control by others : Self-governing (2) : not affiliated with a larger controlling unit.

People generally don’t like to be controlled, it’s a very freeing feeling to be to be independent. To rely upon ourselves for the things we need and make choices for ourselves. The 4th of July has always been my favorite holiday because of the magnitude of it’s meaning. The colors of the flag have been my favorite because It represents not only my own, but the Independence and freedom of this nation.

Why the 4th of July?

A lot of people choose Christmas or Thanksgiving as their favorites, but it’s my belief that we should celebrate thankfulness every day and Christmas has become so commercialized that it’s lost it’s meaning, it’s made it more of a chore and a financial burden than what the true meaning calls for. For me the 4th I can sit back and watch the fireworks, BBQ with family and reflect on how far this country has come since 1776.

It most certainly has it’s problems, but the lack of freedom isn’t one of them. We are still independent and it doesn’t cost a small fortune to celebrate. We don’t have to buy gifts to show our love, (Not that it should be that way, but it seems like it is with other holidays).

Meaning of the colors of the U.S. Flag

According to custom and tradition, white signifies purity and innocence; red, hardiness and valor; and blue signifies vigilance, perseverance, and justice. The Stars represent the 50 states.

I wear the colors to show my respect to all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for it. As long as this flag flies it represents the independence and freedom of this country. Aside of sacrificing our own lives, to me this is the next best thing to show respect and I will continue to wear these colors proudly. I would say I wear red, white and blue 80% of the time. My jeep is decked out in it. My Kitchen decor is red, white and blue and I have a lot of decorations around the house that are patriotic colors. My bedroom has a flag hanging on the wall along with a stuffed enormous blue American Eagle and the bedspread is….you guess it, Red, White and Blue.

I am a true proud American patriot….That is why the 4th is my favorite!

While you are enjoying the festivities on the 4th, be safe and take a moment to remember the many lives it took to get us here. I hope you enjoy your 4th as much as I know I will!

My favorite part about summer? Going Topless!

My favorite thing about summer is going topless!

I’ve liven in Washington State my whole life, born and raise in Spokane on the Eastern side of the state. We are blessed with four distinctive seasons. The Winters never disappoint for us snow lovers. Spring brings flowers and birds returning from the south singing their “we’re back” songs early in the morning. The Fall brings a beautiful changing of the leaves, in red, orange, yellow. It’s gorgeous to see the changing of the seasons. Then there is my favorite season of the year, Summer. Summer is always hot, 80-100’s, sunny and beautiful. The first sign of these temps for at least 10 days straight, according to the Weather channel, my top comes off!! I’ve waited 9 months for this moment and get so excited for it when the time nears.

I Wear My Husband’s Boxers Everywhere And I Don’t Care What You Think

When you spend 90% of your day at home, if you’re like me you’re in your pj’s, or if its really nice out I’m in my husband boxers with a baggy t-Shirt. So what….they’re comfortable, it’s literally like wearing nothing at all…and it doesn’t get more comfortable than naked, (unless it’s in public, than no) and they have cute designs! Air Force, Superman, American Eagle, Valentines ones that say ‘Love’ all over them, (valentines gift from me) plain blue, the Grinch…I mean, come on…they’re cute. Plus, with a huge t-shirt you only see the bottom inch, so they totally look like baggy shorts. Yes, I’m one of those women who wears her hubbie’s boxers everywhere, and IDGAF what anyone thinks!
